My new Robert boots!

I just got my Robert boots and they are even better than I hoped! The leather is so rich and the stitching is perfect. I wore them around the house all day, they felt pretty good right out of the box, just a tiny bit stiff. I will absolutely be buying from Nick's again, probably the matching belt next! Everyone needs to check these out.

Good Urban Drifter experience

I ordered a pair of Urban Drifter boots a few weeks ago. The ordering process on their site was straightforward, though the lead time for custom boots is definitely long, took about 10 weeks to ship. When they arrived, the packaging was solid. The boots themselves are very well made, the leather quality felt premium. I had a quick question about breaking them in, and their customer support via email was surprisingly fast and helpful. My only minor issue was the laces felt a little thin for such heavy-duty boots, but that's easily replaced. Overall, a solid purchase.

My new favorite work boots!

Oh my gosh, I just got my new BuilderPro boots and I'm obsessed! These are seriously the best work boots I've ever owned. The quality is incredible, you can just feel how well they're made. I used their sizing guide and the fit is perfect. I wore them all day yesterday, and even though they're new, they felt pretty good right out of the box. The only thing is I wish I had bought some extra Boot Grease at the same time to keep them looking this good. Definitely going to be recommending Nick's to everyone!

Consistent quality for years

I've been buying from Nick's for years now, mostly work boots like the BuilderPro and Hotshot. This time I got the Falcon boots. What keeps me coming back is the sheer reliability. Every pair has been built like a tank and holds up to a lot of abuse. The fit is always spot on for my measured size, which is nice not having to guess. Lead times are always long, you just have to expect it, but the wait is worth it. This pair felt a little tighter across the arch than my last pair did initially, but I know they'll break in fine. Never had an issue with stitching or materials.

Good boots, slow shipping

I grabbed a pair of the Americana boots last month. They're super solid, built like tanks. It took a little longer than I expected for them to ship out, about a week, but once they did, they got here fast. Happy with the boots overall.

Fast shipping, nice belt

Needed a new heavy duty belt. Ordered a leather belt from Nick's. It shipped fast, got to me in 3 days. Quality of the leather is great, very thick. Buckle feels sturdy. A little pricey, but worth it.

Dependable as always

This was my third pair, some custom BuilderPro boots. Took a bit to get them, about 10 weeks, which is standard for them. Quality is consistent with my other pairs, very well-made and sturdy. My old ones are still going strong. Just needed a new style this time around. I keep coming back because their boots just last.

Solid Robert boots, minor sizing issue

I ordered a pair of Robert boots a few weeks ago after doing a lot of research, and they arrived in about three and a half weeks. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, and I found the sizing guide helpful, though my left boot feels just a tiny bit snugger than the right. I followed the instructions for measuring carefully, so it might just be my feet. The leather quality is exceptional, and they feel incredibly durable. I had a quick question about breaking them in, so I used their contact form, and customer support got back to me within 24 hours with some good tips. They are definitely well-made and I expect them to last a very long time, even with daily wear.

Are there ever any sales on these? Like actual discounts, not just 'seconds' stuff. Trying to justify the cost.

B Brittany D. 1 month ago
They don't do a ton of sales, honestly. Black Friday/Cyber Monday is usually when you see some actual percentage off, maybe 10-20%. Otherwise, it's usually factory seconds or their ready-to-ship section for deals.

S Sean J. 1 month ago
Nah, regular sales are pretty rare. Best bet is checking for their seconds inventory or if you're military/first responder, they have a discount for that.

quick question about sizing. I wear a 10.5 in Red Wing Iron Rangers, should I go with that for Nicks too or size down? Heard they run big.

J James Campbell 4 weeks ago
Definitely size down at least a half size, maybe even a full. My Iron Rangers are 11 and my Nicks are 10. They have a really good sizing guide on their site though, measure your foot for sure.

M Michael Parker 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they run big. Don't just go with your sneaker size. Measure your foot according to their instructions. It sounds like a hassle but it's worth it for a boot this expensive.

Does anyone know if Nicks ever does discounts for first time buyers? Or like, any coupons at all? Trying to save a few bucks if possible.

S Susan S. 1 month ago
They don't really do coupons much, unless you're military or first responder. Your best bet is to look at their 'seconds' section on the website. Sometimes they have good deals there.

J Joseph B. 1 month ago
Nah, regular coupons are super rare. I signed up for the newsletter hoping for something but nothing ever came. Black Friday is probably your only real chance for a sale.

What's the deal with sizing? My feet are weird, do they offer any kind of fit guarantee if I measure wrong?

E Ella 1 month ago
They have a fit guarantee, I think you gotta follow their measurement guide super carefully though. If you mess up, they'll work with you to fix it, but there might be a fee or something. I'd double check their site.
4
B Betty Williams 1 month ago
Definitely follow their sizing guide to a T. They will help you out if there's an issue with the fit based on their recommendations, but it's not like a free full return if you just guess wrong.

I'm looking at the Robert and the Frank's Highlander. Anyone have experience with both or can speak to the differences? Trying to decide which to go with.

E Emma 1 month ago
Both are solid boots. Nicks usually feels a bit heavier duty, especially the leather. Frank's are great too, maybe a slightly more refined finish on some models. It kinda comes down to personal preference on the last shape and specific build options.

A Amanda Hill 1 month ago
I've had both! Nicks feel like a tank, built for absolute punishment. Frank's are really good but sometimes feel a *little* less substantial than Nicks for pure work boots. But for heritage stuff, Frank's are awesome too. Can't really go wrong with either but Nicks feels more 'buy it for life' to me.

I'm looking at the BuilderPro, but also considering some White's. Anyone have both and can speak to the differences? Specifically comfort for long days.

C Chris Torres 1 month ago
I've had both, Nicks feel a bit more substantial to me, and the arch support on my BuilderPros is amazing. White's are good too, but my Nicks have been better for my feet on concrete all day.

L Linda Sanchez 1 month ago
It's a tough call, both are top-tier. I think Nicks has a slightly more aggressive arch. You really can't go wrong either way, just depends on your foot shape.

Hey, thinking about grabbing some Nicks, but I live in Chicago. How long does shipping usually take, especially for a custom pair?

M Mary Wilson 1 month ago
For custom stuff, expect a pretty long wait. I ordered a pair of Roberts last year, and it was like 6-8 weeks before they even shipped, then regular ground delivery on top of that.
1
A Abigail W. 1 month ago
Yeah, they're not Amazon fast. But totally worth the wait for the quality. Lead times vary depending on their current backlog.

Hey guys, thinking about pulling the trigger on some Nicks. How long does it usually take for them to ship out custom orders? I'm in Phoenix, worried about summer heat getting here before my new boots.

L Lisa M. 1 month ago
Yeah, custom orders take a while. I ordered a pair last fall and it was like 6-8 weeks before they even shipped. They're handmade so it's not like Amazon prime lol.
5
J Jason D. 1 month ago
Mine took closer to 10 weeks, but that was for a really specific build. If you're getting a standard model, maybe a bit faster? Worth the wait though, seriously.
